Think you meant +5... but that doesn't matter! You throw the ball, missing the bottles and instead having it ricochet off the wall. It bounces past you and the old man, and firmly striking back of a draconian's head. "OW! What the..." the draconian, covered in black scales and a red scar over his left eye, and wearing animal hides, picks up the ball. He looks towards the stand, seeing Zero. The old man promptly ducks behind the counter. "Nice knowin' ya, kid." The draconian stalks towards him, snarling as he clutches the ball. "Think yer funny, don'cha, short man?"

KhurQuinn: Wow, I can't believe you actually typed that. XD
Anywho, you happen to notice two figures wandering towards you and your new friends. One was a woman, wearing a very elegant, teal gown and having her blonde hair tied behind her and pointy ears framing her face. She was simply radiant. Besides her was a shorter woman, perhaps a teenager, sporting shorter brown hair and slightly-less point ears. She was wearing a white dress. The two figures approached the group, the taller woman spoke. "Good day, everyone. Oh... I don't believe I recognize you, sir.", she said, looking to KhurQuinn. You also notice Naria stepping back a bit as they showed up.

Zero smiles sheepishly at the towering dragonborn. "Only unintentionally." the rogue replies, knowing he's just begging for trouble.

Zero: "Oh really? Well, forgive me when I 'unintentionally' render your face into meat!", he said as he raised his fist, ready to strike.

You narrowly manage to slide between the draconian's legs, just as his fist comes down into the ground. He cries out in pain, clutching his hand. "OWCH, YOU LITTLE SONUVA-"

"Greetings. I am Protectorate KhurQuinn, of the Zem. You must be elves, judging by your ears and Lady Naria's reaction."

OOC: It is really hard to not play him suave and debonair. Sadly, his charisma doesn't allow for it.

The elf was taken aback, looking to him. "Uh... yes, I am an elf... and what exactly is a Zem?", she asked, seeming offended. The shorter woman giggled. "Oh mother, don't be so prudish!", she said as she turned to KhurQuinn, shaking his hand. "Yes, she's an elf and I'm a half-elf! I'm Alice and this is my mother Monarra. Don't mind her, she's just easily offended at times." "Alice!"

The thri-kreen makes no movement to interact with anyone in the ever-increasing crowd, content to simply survey his surroundings.

You can clearly see what looks like a halfling being assaulted by a black draconian with a red scar over one of his eyes, people looking on!

Chu'nak strides through the crowd. He was sure that this was not appropriate behavior for this kind of gathering.

Insight check to see if I can discern if the halfling deserves the beating he's getting before intervening

"Oh, I didn't mean to offend! Er, excuse me, but... if you are half elf, then what is your other half?"

Chu'nak: Frankly, you're not entirely sure, but you can at least tell the halfling isn't fighting back and is merely avoiding the beating.

KhurQuinn: Alice smiles and giggles. "Human, which is one of the more common breeds of half-elf.", she states.

"So humans and elves can interbreed? What other species can interbreed with elves? Or is it humans that are reproductively versatile?"

OOC: Okay, I just realized this. KhurQuinn = C3PO. Intelligent but doesn't know when to shut up and always says the wrong thing.

Not entirely sure of the situation, nonetheless the halfling wasn't fighting back, and the beating should cease. To tarnish such a joyous occasion with violence!!

He stepps in between the two and goes to grab the draconians hand as it falls to deliver another blow.


OOC: What would I roll for that?

KhurQuinn: "Well uh... hmmm... well, humans have bred with other races... like half-orcs... well, yeah, humans are pretty versatile, but they especially work well with elves since they share many physical traits." Moranna turns to Alice. "My, at least you've been paying attention to something in school.", she said with a laugh.

Chu'nak: I'm gonna say gimme a Strength check.

"Humans? That is most helpful! I do hope I get a chance to talk to the joined officials soon. Speaking of which, when shall the ritual commence?"

Reginald spoke up this time. "Oh, in about another ten minutes, give or take a few. My, you're rather excited about this, aren't you?"
