Act 1: A Coronation to Die For

knute lets out an exasperrated sigh, " you know what, he's right. i won't dirty hands the likes of you, my first priority should be to save the princess" he shoots a deathly glare at the guard captain, " but that hardly means i'm giving up, remember that. "

o-ren dicided she'd accompany zero, since she did'nt have a lot of other options, as she walked close behind him, listening to his footsteps, she could sense his confusion for her behavior earlier, damn! what a pain! she thought " ah! i'm sorry, mr. zero. i was merely talking to myself, i did'nt mean to have you think me strange."

in reality, she did'nt care if he thought she was strange, it was irrelivent to her task at hand, still, she had to admit, inspite herself, that maybe zero may not be the oaf that she originally thought he was, there was a maturity to him, she could even admit to herself that she was impressed,

but only a little........

lilith, after hearing the captain's words, dicided it woulded be not so bad, might even get interesting,

lilith approached her new found teamate, a fellow elf,
"hello, my name is lilth, its nice to meet other elves, i was begining to worry that i was the only one. heh, heh," she said, with a cheerful smile.

Zero doesn't really walk very far before realizing that he fails as a tracker. Sure, he's street savvy and all, but he's got nothing to work with there. He decides to wait for the group to catch up before continuing, and he takes the opportunity to address O-Ren once again. "Well, it is a little strange, I suppose. I mean, no offense." he says offhandedly, in an obvious attempt to tease her. "It's not like you can have a proper conversation that way. You'd know the punchline to every joke already."

o-ren noticed his attempt at teasing her, again, she did'nt really care. " thank you for being so understanding of me," she replied,
god knows you'll need to be, if you wish to survive my presence.....

for some reason, she felt a little sad..........

then, a horrifying thought crossed her mind, is he so calm because he's oblivious, or, does he know something is wrong with me?! she thought with horror!

" finally, we can continue this jouney, and rescue the princess. but do you think the zombie's B.O. will attract unwanted attention from the enemies? " oh-dae su replied, obviously referring to khurquinn.

"The zombie- er, Khurquinn smells fine! Now enough squabbling, let's move on."

So the two groups go their separate ways. Here are what the two districts look like!

East side- Shopping district. This is where many of the various stores are set up, including clothing, weapons, and food.

West Side- Theater district. A large theater for movies is one of the more noticeable attractions of the theater district, but various street performers also line the, well, streets. A large arena is also present across from the movie theater, where various events take place such as battles, monster truck shows, and simply conventions. It sounds more like an entertainment-in-general district, but the name was too long to fit on the billboard sitting outside the district, and it sounded silly anyway.

During the investigation, you can use various skills to gather clues (such as diplomacy to ask a civilian, arcana to detect magic (characters such as Khurquinn and Elaysin would be good for this) and perception to look for anything out of the ordinary. These are all simply examples, and if you're not sure what kind of check to make for what you want to attempt, just ask) while trying to work as a team.

the group started on their way, knute dicided to stop and take a look around, to look for any suspicious activity.

You do perceive a rather large half-orc standing over a smashed up hot dog cart, yelling expletives.

Zero decides to focus on his street smarts, and quietly vanishes from the group. He ignores the crowds of people gossiping on the street about the disappearing princess, and tries to be on the lookout for anyone who seems suspiciously reclusive, wary or rushed.

knute dicided to approach the enraged orc, " what seems to be the trouble? " he asked.

KhurQuinn looks to Lilith and Oh-Dae-Su, the two nearest to him. "I shall attempt to scry out clues to the location of the matriarch. Does anyone in this group have knowledge of mundane tracking? Perhaps one of your race has particularly clear eyesight?" He doesn't wait for an answer before sending out his 'seekers' once more.

Zero's Streetwise: Afraid there's no one who comes off as any of those things or any variation of it.

Knute: The half-orc turns to Knute, fuming. "Some jackass came through here, busting up my stand in the process! My hot dogs are all ruined!" he shouted, throwing his hands up.

Chu'nak's Perception: You fail to notice anything of interest.

East Party-
Khurquinn's Arcana: You do pick up a magical signature close by... but it seems to be staying in one place.

Ryltar's Perception: Lying on the ground you see a small object glinting in the sunlight. You also notice some of your own vomit on your foot wear.

(So sorry about the delay! Just been busy with work the last couple days...)

Sensing the magical signature, KhurQuinn attempts to zero in on it's location using triangulation.
